A. I am the same age as you and am the exact same way and have the exact same problem. I spend my spare time in my phonebook under theaters, or I mapquest with my starting address and then type in theaters-live in the end place box and it will bring up locations with there phone#s and call and ask if they are having any auditions they need my age group for. The rest of my life is for school and practicing!

Q. My 11 year old loves acting dancing and singing. When he is on stage for anything he is so confident and laps it up. He really wants to go into acting, but I haven't got a clue of where to start. A. Well you need to live in the San Fernando valley because that is where all the filming take part or the main studios are located. Then just meet people around most of the people that live here are in the entertainment industry you need to network and just to try to find places where they are looking for open casting. Their are also places in Burbank where they have open casting every week just to become an extra but I forgot what the company is called. Good Luck

A. Get yourself an agent for modelling. Call reputable agencies to see if they will see you. They will probably ask you to email them a few polaroids i.e photos with minimal makeup up of face front on and full length shot in swimwear or lingerie.No funny myspace type camera angles or kissy faces! You will need to pay upfront for the agencies photographer to produce a portfolio for you and comp cards so that you can take them to castings. To be in showbiz you should study drama. Usually someone goes to drama schools to scout for new talent. Your modelling agency will not just send you to modelling jobs they will also send you to casting agencies for film, tv etc. Keep fit and promote yourself. Personality is just as important as looks!

A. first they take pictures, then they get sign with an agent,next they get signed with SAG, then they do sit-ins, and little non-speaking roles for commericals and citcoms. During this time, most of them work as a waiter until their "BIG" break. Most of them make it...Alot of them don'T!!!

A. Any "agent" or "casting director" who gets in touch with you through a post here is bound to be a sleazebag scam artist. It's unrealistic to expect that you can jump from where you are now straight into a movie or TV role. If you're serious about wanting to lay the foundations for a future showbiz career, you should stick with your acting lessons and get as much experience as you possibly can in plays at your school and at community theatres, summer theatres, and such in your area. In acting as in lots of other professions, you have to start small and work your way up.

A. I would suggest moving to NYC for theater and soap operas and LA for film and tv, but only if you have a lot of other experience and a way to support yourself. You will need to go on a lot of auditions, so it is hard to have a job, but it is expensive to live in those areas. You will have to get an agent and be able to get ready in a minute to leave for an audition at any time! You will need a way for money because people go on many auditions before they even get a job in a commercial or as an extra. Maybe you could go to college for something else and minor in theater arts. Good luck and hope I helped =)
